From New York City By Car: From Manhattan, take the George Washington Bridge/I-95 South. Directly after the bridge, take Exit 74 on the right to the Palisades Parkway. Take Exit 9W to merge onto I-87 North. Take I-87N to Exit 18 towards New Paltz. Exit off ramp, go through toll, and take a left onto Main Street/299W. Pass through downtown New Paltz. Just after the bridge, take the first right onto County Road 7/Springtown Road. Then take the first left onto County Road 6/Mohonk Road, following signs for Mohonk Mountain. Go straight at stop sign. Go up the mountain, pass under bridge, and head down the mountain. At the next stop sign, turn left onto County Route 1/Lucas Turnpike and follow to end. At the stop sign, make a left onto US-209 South. After 1.7 miles, take a Right onto Mettacohonts Road. After 1.2 miles, take a slight right onto Lower Whitfield Road. We are 1/4 of a mile up on the right. By Bus: Take the New York Trailways bus from Port Authority in New York to New Paltz or Rosendale.
